Silent Scream – The Blanket in Blame Activity
The Turkish Women’s Association was founded on 08.03.1975 as the first migrant women’s organisation in Germany with the aim of “helping women to help themselves” and has been advocating for women’s interests ever since. Today, members of the association will conduct the activity “The Blanketed in Blame”, which provides an important opportunity to explore how social norms and discrimination affect the ability of survivors of violence to seek help and access care. It also encourages participants to reflect on what they can do to empathise with survivors of violence.
